The Travellers Guide to the Khao Yai National Park

The Travellers Guide to the Khao Yai National Park

The Khao Yai National Park in Thailand covers a very large area which has so far been only poorly described. This book tries to fill that gap. The authors and contributors of this book were experts in various areas of natural science. The late Klaus Derwanz, who was the initiator of this book, was an expert on tropical fishes and run a fish exporting business for a long time from Bangkok. He was fascinated by the Khao Yai National Park and opened a small resort near park. Very quickly he became an expert on the flora and fauna of the Khaoi Yai. From his own excursions he became a very good tour guide and was highly respected, even by the forest rangers of the Khao Yai National park. His work in the Khao Yai Nationel Park inspired Klaus Derwanz to write this book. With help from scientist’s, who were the first guest’s in his Resort Hotel and very specialized experts the book was started, but it needed many years to complete. The result is this eBook.
